28-October/96

According to GT Öis is looking for an Argentinian attacker for next season. I'd rather have a good midfielder who can give Mackan and Samba-Erik good passes to work with. That's what's been missing this season.
Only three clubs have all their players contracted for next year: HBK, VSK o ÖIS

27-October/96

It is rumoured that HBK want to buy Rúnar Kristinsson for next season. Either you pay up properly or forget about it, guys!
Thanks to MFF we're still in the allsvenskan despite the terrible autumn.

24-October/96

Niclas Sjöstedt has been deemed "football gentleman of the year" by the referees. I'd prefer them giving our players credit during the games instead.

23-October/96

The competition is over, the winner has been contacted by e-mail but will remain anonymous. You can see the survey results here if you're interested.

19-October/96

The Discussion Board is finally running again. We have now abandoned the LPage Guestbook Server and are instead using the Pergatory Server... Hope it will work better (ie. at all).

18-October/96

According to Expressen Bengan wants to end his Teneriffe session if he doesn't get to play soon. Perhaps he can play for Öis while still beeing owned by Teneriffe. It would be good for him to get some match training.

4-October/96

I forgot to mention that Anders Holmberg, Erik Johansson and Karl Corneliusson are in the U-21 national squad for the game against Austria.

3-October/96

It looks as if Magnus Källander won't be playing tonight after recieving a concussion during the game against Konsum (he also got amnesia, hopefully he remembers which team he's in). Neither will Runar (national game for Iceland), Pierre Edström or Henrik Hansson (both injured).

2-October/96

On the 23rd of March next year we'll meet Nacka FF (div 2) in the continuing story of "the Wannabe Cup".
Jozo is in the national squad for the game against Austria on October the 9th.
According to GP there has been a conflict between Kalle Björklund and the players. Marcus Allbäck and Svante Samuelsson deny the occurance but admit that there has been a meeting about Kalle's future as coach of the team. Apperently everyone is set for two more years under Kalles command.
There were 12 policeofficers present at the game between ÖIS-IFK, the two supporterclubs were standing approximately 10m from each other. No incident happened!

In Stockholm, as in the rest of Europe, they have 120 policemen and keep the opposing supporters at different stands. Still there is violence.
Only in Göteborg...

29-September/96

The site "Kamelernas Oas i CyberÖknen" has changed it's content to something of an electronic fanzine, it looks like it will be a nice complement to our site so we added a link from our frontpage.
Todays results went our way, we don't risk falling below the dreaded qualifying-line even if we loose, this will take the preassure of the players. With some luck we'll be in 7th place tomorrow night, in case of a draw we might be 8th.
Things aren't looking bright for the derby, Niclas Sjöstedt won't be playing and the weather looks set to favour IFK's longballs instead of the red'n'blue shortpassing play. Oh well, we'll win anyway!

27-September/96

Kalle Björklund has been offered a deal by the norwegian club Start for next season. He says he'd rather stay in ÖIS.
Win two tickets to ÖIS-TFF! By completing our survey you automatically take part in the lottery for two tickets (worth 160:-) to the game ÖIS-TFF on Saturday the 26th of October.

24-September/96

There is now a new guestbook, get writing!

23-September/96

Evil rumours has it that Kalle Björklund will leave Öis after this season, but it's now said that he'll most probably stay in the club.

21-September/96

The guestbook is down (again) :-( We'll try to fix it soon.

9-September/96

You can now learn how to become a great singer, just check out the Supporter HQ.
Once again Öis tops the "Away League" with 15 points from 10 games. Sadly enough only Umeå and Oddevold are worse at home, what's wrong with playing at Ullevi?

8-September/96

We're sorry that the game report from Halmstad was delayed, it's here now.

5-September/96

Make sure you go with the camel-ride to Halmstad on Saturday, and bring all your banners. Call 031-194569 (Mikael) for information.
ÖIS has been drawn against Falkenberg (div 1) in the "faked cup". The game is to be played at September 18.
You can now chat to me (Kim) by using the excellent program PowWow by Tribal Voice. Start PowWow and then press the "Chat with Kim" link on the front page. If I'm online I'll answer.

27-August/96

Finally Tommy Svensson has found a brain, "Jo-Jo"-Jozo will play the World-Cup-qualifier against Latvia on Sunday.

26-August/96

We're back from a trip to Norway, if you've read or heard about a disaster involving a glacier: That was our trip!
We've updated the results, but there won't be any reports from the Ljungskile/AIK games unless YOU write them (since we couldn't attend them).
There is now a page about the ÖIS P-84 team on the net, you can visit it here.

21-August/96

The 2nd round of the Swedish "so called" Cup is here. Öis will play Ljungskile, but this result won't be updated until next Tuesday.

12-August/96

Anders Prytz has been lent to GAIS (they'll need him) and Joakim Grandelius has been lent to Ljungskile. They'll be back next season (hopefully).
ÖIS is now the best "away-team" in the league. The top of the "away-table" looks like this:

ÖIS 7 4 0 3 9-7 (+2) 12p

IFK 8 3 3 2 12-11(+1) 12p

MFF 8 3 3 2 4-5 (-1) 12p

21-July/96

We're out of the IntertotoCup, too bad. Now the guys will have to put all their concentration on the league instead.

Segesta Sisak 4 3 1 0 7-3 10p

ÖIS 4 2 2 0 8-2 8p

Luzern 4 2 0 2 4-5 6p

Rennais 4 1 1 2 5-5 4p

Hap. Tel-Aviv 4 0 0 4 1-10 0p

16-July/96

The discussion board is up again after a few weeks down, the previous entries on the current board are sadly lost in action. The Supporter List is gone since it wasn't too popular, if you want something along the same lines write us a letter.
The Anouncements section has been deleted, from now on all anouncements will be put up here in the News bulletin. The Transfer section has moved in under the Team Roster section. These changes were made to speed up the loading time of the frontpage.

11-July/96

Ok, I've found the Bengan Memorial Page, pay it a visit.

7-July/96

We're back!! And there is some exciting news indeed.
For those who've been asleep in a container somewhere we can announce that the victory against Öster (3-0) was Begans last game in the "Team of Gods", he's moved to Deportivo Teneriffe (Spain).
Of course this is sad news for all of us, but it takes the preassure off the teams budget which now shows a plus! If I'm not misinformed there should soon be a memorial page on the net somewhere, we'll keep you posted.
Since Freddy Roth now takes over the position as the best keeper in Sweden there shouldn't be too much to worry about.
There is now a team in Croatia playing in the holy outfit. During the trip Croatia (Segesta Sisak 1-1) ÖIS delivered a set of outfits to the UN-soldiers in Tuzla who will redistribute them to a team somewhere in the area.
